Niloofar Abdehagh, PhD, PEng, PMP
Vice President - Research and Development Niloofar joined CH Four Biogas in 2016 and is responsible for the strategic and overall operations of R&D department of the company. Niloofar holds a PhD degree from University of Ottawa in Chemical and Biological Engineering and has a wide range of experience in biofuel and biogas industry. She has been responsible for the formation and operation of the company’s R&D department and overseen CH Four’s technology development and technology positioning. Under her management, CH Four has been actively working on different research projects in various fields related to biogas industry and anaerobic digestion. Niloofar has also been appointed as Adjunct Professor at University of Ottawa leading a research group of undergrad and grad students in addition to lecturing on anaerobic digestion and biogas topic. |
Nikan Nadimi
Research Assistant, BSc Nikan joined CH Four in 2019 as Research intern and actively works in different research projects conducted at CH Four. He has received his bachelors degree in Chemical engineering from University of Ottawa on April 2019. His main focus is on the anaerobic digestion process and the technical measurements featured in it. Mohamad Adghim
Research Scientist, PhD Candidate Mohamad Adghim is a PhD candidate at the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Ottawa. He completed his Masters and Bachelor in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His current research interests are focused on anaerobic digestion and how to improve the process, specifically how to remove ammonia using ammonia-stripping to alleviate inhibitory effects off the process. Aside from anaerobic digestion, Mohamad's research interests and publications cover Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Costing, and smart waste collection systems. Mohamad is the PhD candidate in Dr. Sataj's research. His thesis is supported and closely operated joint with Four Biogas Inc. Selena Nasser
Research Assistant, BSc Selena joined CH Four in 2020 as a research intern. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa that she received in April 2020. Selena works on various research projects at CH Four, with her main focus being the anaerobic digestion process and developing tools for its optimization. Scott Proulx
Research Assistant, MSc Scott joined CH Four Biogas in 2020. He received his MASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, his BASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and his BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. Scott’s work focuses on using and manipulating models such as ADM1 to simulate the anaerobic digestion process. |
